Unemployment: Day 7
I haven’t been to the office in a week and I feel great! I look great too; not having worn any makeup in a week has done very nice things for my complexion.
I’m getting the hang of this not-having-a-job-and-not-actively-looking-for-one-yet deal. I’m settling into a daily routine that involves waking up at 6 a.m. (bad habits are hard to break), watching The Today Show and checking email/browsing bloglines until I get hungry enough to rise and go downstairs for a pop tart. My afternoons are left open for housework, errands, bathing, etc. (all of which are optional). I must be getting a lot done because by the end of the day I am exhausted!
I received a phone call last week from a designer friend who says his boss wants to meet with me. So I guess I have a job interview tomorrow morning. I have to say that I’m just the slightest bit annoyed about having to get dressed before 2 p.m.
Isn’t lounging lovely?!
woman.. get dressed.. and go to ur interview.. i was soo used to having lunch with you every week.. no one to have lunch with now….lol.. just playing… enjoy your interview.. Does this mean we are never going to have lunch during the week since you aren’t working??? have a good day…
Ang!
I loved my non-working days! I remember sitting around in my pajamas all day and sprinting to hide the box of bon-bons when I heard the car pull in the drive way and all the fun ended. The good ol’ days. Enjoy them, they don’t last long enough.
You know the BEST way to keep from working? Become a professional student…it has worked wonders for me;-)
You could go to the interview in your pj’s and they’d still hire you 😛 You’ve got skillz
Nice! I remember those days except I had Joshie at 1 1/2 to play with all day long. I would take naps during his nap time. 🙂
I hope you don’t take this the wrong way – but I think you should go back to work. You’ve got so much leisure time, it seems like the updates to your page are few and far between. I enjoy your commentary and photos! You’re very talented.
But I know what its like to stay home (did it for a year) and loved everyday I was home doing exactly what I wanted – on my clock!
So in a nut shell, stay home and enjoy it. My request is purely selfish.
You do what you gotta’ do Josie! 🙂 Only work if you have to .. but remember, there’s that freelanec thingie I was telling you about. 😀 I’d love to see your photos in circulated newsprint. I’m sure many others would too.
