Tiger If you are a Mac user, have you upgraded or are you planning to upgrade to Tiger? Any thoughts or insight?
Speaking of macs, here’s one more reason to love them: our skydiving dvds from Australia won’t play in the dvd player because they are not encoded for our region. They won’t play on the pc, either. I tried both dvds on the mac and they play beautifully. Once again, Apple saved the day.

Hi Josie – I upgraded my Mac to Tiger about a week ago and had no problems at all. Before upgrading, I simply took a backup and repaired permissions (after reading this topic in the Apple discussions). I’ve been very happy with the new functionality in Tiger. If you decide to upgrade, I hope all goes well.

yep, laura is right. also be sure to unplug everything but the monitor, keyboard, and internet connection. after the install, update to 10.4.1, repair permissions again, and then plug it all back in.
i’ve had no problems. even my now contact (which it is supposed to break) still works. just one canon photo utility won’t work right. even my clie syncs with no problems. safari is way quicker. connecting to my idisk is much quicker. dashboard is fun. spotlight is great!
in fact, i’ve gotten so used to it at home, i’ve been bugging my i.t. guy at work (daily) to upgrade my desktop, which he did yesterday…yeah!!
