The More I Know, The Less I Understand
Don Henley’s Heart of the Matter is a classic I love and never thought anyone would remake. I believe this generation will be remembered as the cover/copycat/remake generation from all the movies, tv shows and songs that have been redone. Nothing is sacred.
As much as all the remaking annoys me, I have to admit India.Arie’s version of Heart of the Matter is so good I like it as much as I like Don’s. They are the same song, but they are so different and I love them both!
On the other hand, Fatboy Slim’s cover of The Joker (again, nothing is sacred) doesn’t hold a candle to the original by the Steve Miller Band. However, I love the video and watched it like five times today. Hey, you know I love kitties. This is a music video I’d totally remake a few years from now.
