Step #1: Back Up The Database. [x]

Ok party people. Tonight I will be upgrading to Movable Type 3.3 so if you happen to drop by and I’m not here it’s probably because I messed up royally (the installation guide is 39 pages!).
Cross your fingers.
[Update.1] All systems go. This was by far the easiest upgrade, ever!
[Update.2] Minor tweaks & changes ongoing. Things may look funky in the interim. Feel free to leave a comment if you experience buggy behavior (esp. pc people). Thanks!

Yes, the updates for Movable Type have become much easier even in the year or so I’ve been using them. I, for one, am very glad for this.
Congratulations on your uneventful upgrade, Josie! 😉

    Nah. I love Movable Type.
The upgrade section of the manual was a mere three paragraphs. LOL

trench, it’s 39 pages because it’s a powerful system that’s extremely configurable and runs on a large number of other environments OTHER than just MySQL and PHP… You know, some people actually care about those things…

Wow. THE Jay Allen? That’s awesome.
