Simple Teppanyaki
La Bella Angela and I had lunch today at the recently opened Simple Teppanyaki, located on the corner of Fujita Road across the street from Mac & Marti’s in Tumon. It was so great! We both had the lunch special: chicken, beef AND bacon shrimp with rice, miso, salad & vegetables for under ten bucks. I LOVE teppanyaki (who doesn’t?) and am so glad I have somewhere affordable to go since my favorite teppanyaki restaurants, Seahorse and Shimbashi, are gone and my other favorite, Genji, is still under renovation.
I think we’re having dinner there tomorrow night. lol
Hey! I used to waitress at Sea Horse in the late 80’s. I always wanted to make it my house. I loved the wood floors and the view. They had the best black bean sauce too. Whaaa, I MISS GUAM!
OMG! THIS is what I miss. TEPANYAKI! We’ve been to countless japanese restaurants around here & it’s not the same. Speaking of which, Capricciosa is my favorite restaurant (I miss terribly!) and I’ve been to countless italian restaurants (even the fancy shmancy ones)- it’s not the same!!
Oh how I miss Seahorse and Genji and Capricciosa.
You didn’t mention Joinus as a good teppenyaki place (the only one I had one Guam)…. Have I just been missing out by not eating at the other ones you mentioned?
I’ve been to Joinus a couple of times, and I think it was good (it’s been so long I can’t remember). I think there’s also a teppanyaki place in the Okura (or maybe it’s the Onward) that’s supposed to be good. The ones I mentioned before are just my personal favorites.
