Rainy Days and Tuesdays
I don’t dislike rain, but I just don’t know how you people in the pacific northwest deal.
I may have to find a new place to live. I’m guessing. When the landlord sets up a meeting with you, it’s either to raise the rent or to kick you out. In either case, I’d have to move. I meet with the landlord this Friday.
There’s always something, isn’t there?
There are many people in the Pacific NW who actually like the weather. My mom lives up in Portland. A couple years ago she visited me when I was in San Diego. After about 4 days of perfect weather remarked to me how she was tired of all the sun wanted it to rain. I keep telling her there’s something wrong with her.
Good luck with the landlord. You never know, maybe it’s good news. Like he’ll sell you the house at market value minus rent already paid.
I happily volunteer Billy and all his brawny Seabee friends to help you move…if needed.
Make sure to remind the landlord about the nest of termites in your garage…
Tell them about your furniture getting eaten up. Be sure to emphasize that you need this fixed…
if all else fails, you can stay in SSF in the extra room ’till june 3 and watch me suffer during my 100-miler up in tahoe 🙂
I was just thinking that it must’ve sucked for tourists who were visiting these past days. First the haze, then the rain!
After living in Seattle for five years, I deal with it because the summers are so incredible.
I’ll trade rain for the negative 14 degree-temperature with the windchill thing we’ve got going on in the city. if you’ve never been in new york during the winter you’ve never had the pleasure of experiencing the lovely wind tunnels that so many skyscrapers create.
Sometimes I think I just can’t stand another day of rain here in Portland. But the past two days have been gorgeously like Spring. Then the rain will return again.
My dad told me about the haze and rain there. Weird weather.
I don’t know…my 5+ years in Portland weren’t filled with rain…I mean sure, it DID rain, but I think the NW just has a bad reputation…the reality isn’t really that bad…
good luck with finding home, josie.
