Probably sight. I’m an editor so I rely on my sense of sight to read, edit, scan, judge, assess …
I value all of my senses, but sight would be my most valued because without it I would not be able to photograph all the beauty in life.
Sight! I’m an ‘observer’ and love watching all the nuances of the world.
hearing. i wish i had taken better care of it when i went to all those shows in college. i can hear alright in both ears, but I know it’ll go sooner or later (damn you trent reznor!). In any case, life is pretty much over for me if I can’t hear music anymore.
As an aside, Josie, my best friend Cedar can only hear in one ear. She reads lips well though, and I never noticed. Until one day we were walking together, drunk, through a dark hallway. She had turned her head so that her good ear was facing forward, to maintain her balance.
wow, that’s hard. i would be out of work if i couldn’t see. but i use my hearing so much, my sense of smell, i would be really at a loss if i lost any of those. and i love the taste of good food and drink. hmmm.
guess sight comes first….
Touch. Life would be an utter nightmare if our bodies were totally numb to feeling the enviroment around us, as well as get signs from our own body. You wouldn’t know how hard to grasp and egg or how hard you’re shaking a guys hand. You could be damaging your body and not even know it (this is what happens to those with diabetic feet). You also wouldn’t know when to go to the bathroom…. or even if you went in your pants (at least until you smell it I guess).
Helen Keller, who was both blind and deaf, was able to convey her wants and desires through touch. And we were able to communicate to her through touch.
It’s an amazing sense. =)
probably sight, cuz i shoot alot
