Q & A

I’ve not been motivated to write lately, and in my quest for inspiration I asked my friend G. to send me five questions I could answer on my site with the hope that they would jumpstart my creativity. Here they are:
In the perfect world, where practicality and necessity are not a concern, where would you be and what would you be doing?
I would be on assignment taking pictures in Tuscany. Then Barcelona, Paris, Nice, Florence, Athens, and on. All the people I love would be near enough to visit and have coffee with regularly.
Who are your heroes? Name a person or persons you aspire to emulate, be more like?
My heroes are people who touched my life with kind, encouraging words and simple gestures. None of them are famous celebrity types. A few of them were teachers or people who taught me how to do something I really wanted to learn. All of them are personal friends and acquaintances.
Tell me things about yourself that you truly like and dislike?
I like that I have an insatiable desire to discover, create and develop. I like that I’m optimistic, flexible, and that I can adapt to situations and people. I like that I find little things interesting and exciting.
I don’t like my lack of confidence in certain situations or around certain people. I don’t like my teeth…but that’s my fault; I never wore my retainer. I’m not always a good teacher and I am not always patient.
Name a moment in life you think you did something really spectacular.
That’s a tough one because I don’t know that I’ve done anything really spectacular yet. I remember moments when I felt shiny inside because I was proud of what I’d achieved, but I don’t know if I’d say they were spectacular things. Once, I wrote a short piece of science-fiction in the tenth grade and my journalism teacher entered it into an islandwide writing contest. I placed first overall, and the person who placed second was older than me by at least 30 years and was a seasoned published writer. That was pretty cool. It was also the first time my work had ever been published.
Romantically, which do you prefer: a good kisser or a guy who buys you gifts?
Definitely a good kisser. There’s romance in a kiss.
That was fun. Anyone else want to ask a few questions? Send me an email or post in comments.

Here’s one for you: Do you think it’s essential to procreate in order to consider yourself a complete human being? Or do you think that you can become a whole, complete person without bringing another one into this world?

    You step in a club. 1st floor, hip-hop; 2nd floor; 80’s. 3rd floor; 70’s. 4th floor, R&B/Soul. How do you proceed?

Would you rather ride in a train, feel no pain or dance in the rain?

  5. I would have commented sooner, but I was 3 hours away from my “4000 questions for getting to know anyone and everyone” book. Here’s a random one:
What things do you hide when family comes to visit?
The definitions of “things” and “family” are open to interpretation 😉
