That’s Not My Bank Anymore
Bye bye, Bank of Hawaii.
After 13 years of banking with BOH, today I made the switch to First Hawaiian Bank.
Sure, the BOH commercials are cute, right up until the “That’s my bank” dude becomes annoying.
BOH posts your ATM deposits the same day if you deposit before 3pm. I loved this because I am all about the drive-up ATM.
Their drive-up ATMs are braille-friendly.
Bankohana means they’re your family and family means no one gets left behind and I could be wrong but I think they stole that from Lilo & Stitch.
But other than that, what have they done for me lately?
They’re not giving me 1 Onepass mile for every $2 I spend using my Visa checkcard, that’s for sure.
Add those miles to the miles I’m accumulating by buying gas at Mobil (1 mile per dollar) and I’m fairly certain I’ll have enough miles for a free trip to anywhere in Asia/Oceana by the end of this year.
I’m thinking Bali. This month makes it 8 years since my last visit.
I heart First Hawaiian Bank. We’re still with them even though we’re in Oregon, don’tchaknow.
hmm.. i just applied for my one-pass debit card today..woohoo.. lol..
still have my first hawaiian account active. just in case. 🙂
The power of choice! It’ll be interesting to see how you like FHB. I’m not a francophobe -well maybe I am a bit – but I can’t get over the fact that they’re owned by a French conglomerate. Hey, what’s the French word for family?
‘famille’ 🙂
