People Say I’m the Life of the Party ’cause I’ve Had a Drink or Two

I’m not a Soroptimist or even know what that means, but whatever.
I rocked their party last night like no other.

No one else was cool enough to rock out with Jesse Bais. I owe this man a debt of gratitude not only because he wrote and sang one of my favorite Chamorro songs ever, Sirena, but also because I learned how to dance the cha-cha just by watching his music video for Mangingi on channel 12 back in 1986. You know, the one where the San Vicente kids are his backup dancers. Anyway, because I learned how to cha-cha, I was spared the shame and embarrassment of having to run and hide whenever the dj spun Memory or Under the Boardwalk at parties and fiestas. So thank you Jesse Bais. You’re awesome. You too, Ruby. Rock on.
The rest of the evening is a little fuzzy, as it so often is after I’ve enjoyed many glasses of red red wine, but I think I’m supposed to compose a limerick that contains all or some of these words:
Beaver (my newest best friend), menage a tois (the wine I drank most of the night), and Flat Teddy (what Robert won in the silent auction)
Help me out on this Limerick Friday?

Josie, this was tough! I spent a good part of my working day thinking about this limmerick. So here it goes:
Rob won Flat Teddy in a silent auction,
Menage a tois was such a yummy concoction!
Who knew we could laugh for hours over the word “Beaver”
We definitely caught Happy Dance Fever!
We’d do it again and again if given the option!
I’m excited about House of Brutus tonight! Bring on the red wine 🙂

Hafa Adai Josie. I’m a big Jesse Bias fan too, however I think Jesse’s “Sirena” is a cover of a Johnny Sablan tune. Still a cool song nontheless.
