Overhaulin’
Husband had been looking for a used pickup truck, something cheap he could use for work and hauling surfboards and not be afraid to bang and scratch up. Everything he looked at was either too expensive or too pretty. Then he heard someone was selling their 89 Pathfinder. Back when it was new it would’ve looked something like this:
The price was right, but what he really needed was a truck.
What to do…what to do?
He paid the man, brought the Pathfinder home and holed himself up in the garage. For days after, the sounds of grinding metal and sanding drove Wife up the wall. Finally he emerged, a gleam of victory in his eye. He beckoned Wife to come and admire his work. And that she did.
Ladies and gentlemen, I give you the Half-Finder.
I don’t know about you, but I think it’s freakin awesome.
it’s perfect.
leche to da max…only on guam! dude what about when you’re reversing in the rain?
Your hubby has good problem solving skills. Kudos to Addi!
Hahaha! You could always make it like one of those half-truck/half-sedan cars, i.e. The Ford Ranchero.
so funny i can’t think of a witty thing to write about….we’ll have to take it galavanting when i visit….
i was going to say he was crazy for ruining the vehicle, but now that i’ve seen it, he coudldn’t have done any worse to it. it’s old alright. ey, as long as it works, nai!
Perfection! š
Husband says depending on which way the wind blows, yes, rain may come in when he reverses. Fortunately, it doesn’t happen very often. š
LOL!
I love that you re-christened it the half-finder, because that is the best name ever.
Thanks C. š
That thing looks like tetanus on wheels. Is that even street legal?
I don’t see why it wouldn’t be.
I saw the end result and just had to laugh! Genius, I say. It looks great and bang worthy.
