Latitude14: Rota

I spent just 15 hours exploring Rota, but it was enough to put it on my list of potential places to retire. The Great Greenway in Australia is still my top pick, if you’re curious.
I found the peace and quiet I needed on Rota.
In Rota there are no American franchises or fast food chains. There is no mall. No movie theater. No beer banners or billboards. No traffic. I never saw a sky so full of stars as I did in Rota. It is indeed a Treasure Island.
However. It is nice to be home and driving on paved roads again.

The main road is paved, but most of the roads to get to the scenic spots are not. I saw a couple of tourists on bicycles.
