Ice Keki
I’m revisiting my childhood!
A coworker received a box of ice keki from a friend in Saipan, straight from the factory that makes it. I begged her for a few because you rarely find this stuff on Guam anymore (more often than not, the ones you do find aren’t The Real Thing).
Thanks Pura. You’re the coolest.
I love the frosty ice on these colorful treats. The colors are great and they look so tasty.
Just need apigigi and Herman’s sweet tuba bread and it’s a nice breakfast.
Oh man, I wish we had a Herman’s Bakery here on Guam. When we visited Saipan last year we ate breakfast at Herman’s every morning!
oh man…i used to live on saipan. i miss pan tuba and ice keki, too!!!!!!!!! :'(
Don’t tell anyone in Hawaii but the ice keki from Saipan are way better than any shave ice here. The photo is really nice.
I’m from Saipan and ice keki was definitely a childhood staple. There was something animalistic yet magical about twisting off the cap with my teeth instead of getting a pair of scissors. Great pic.
GOOD!!
Now this brings back memories. I was childhood friends with the owner’s son. Imagine: all you can eat ice keki during those hot summers. Good stuff. Awesome photo!
omg. yum.
