Exhausted in a Land Down Under
Greetings from Latitude16!
I would have posted sooner, but dude. It has been nonstop work since we arrived on Sunday. Plus, the first couple of days we were shooting in Undara which is in a remote area of the national park (4 hour+ drive from Cairns) and there was no mobile or internet service. It was the first time I’d been completely disconnected in I can’t remember how long. It was absolutely lovely.
So I’m back in Cairns now. Today was pretty exciting as our group received some press coverage from the local channel 7 news as well as the Cairns newspaper on the work we are doing. It felt kind of strange to be photographed and filmed while I was photographing someone else, but I guess since Cairns, like Guam, heavily relies on tourism for revenue, whatever efforts that are made to promote this town is newsworthy. I’ll check the paper tomorrow and see if we’re in it.
Anyway, just wanted to say G’day before I head off to sleep. Gotta be up tomorrow at 6. I’ll write again when I get a chance. Be excellent to eachother!
Awesome! So did they fly out you there first-class? The airlines normally do for press junkets. I hope so!
awesome!
Josie, you rock!
love the photos.. one day i will visit there.. one day..
