Back In The Day (Tumon Bay)
Today’s stop on memory lane is Tumon Bay.
This photo, along with many other photos of Guam from the 1950’s can be found in the Bob Pepper Image Library. (Photographer Unknown)
Taken on 2005.10.16
As you see, a whole lot can change in fifty years.
I’m speechless. That’s just crazy. I think I like the “before” version better, except it didn’t have a Fishbowl or Casa.
I must say I also think the 1954 photo is a much prettier landscape.
I’d trade Fishbowl and Casa for the blue water any day.
Avast!
Shiver me timbers! Thar be pirates in these waters! Th’ scurvy dog who plundered this booty be below th’ leeches who feast on bildge rats.

Thanks for the link. Was wondering where these pictures came from.
As for “Th’ scurvy dog who plundered this booty” you can take that up with the person who emailed the photos to me (though I believe he was just forwarding an email he received from someone else.) Also, I don’t see a copyright notice on the original site, nor a name to credit the photos to. If they are copyright protected I will gladly take the photos down. At the very least, a name to credit the photos to would be great.
wow..the copywrite gestapo…that’s it, we need to start a page called internet copywrite gestapo….josie, c’mon! who’s with me???
Yeah, and to be in the Internet Copyright Gestapo, the ICG if you will, you will first have to be branded with a small © on the nape of your neck. You know. For protection.
LOL! Josie, you crack me up!
