Addi’s Chick
Addi found a hen nesting under his burn pile out in the yard yesterday. His original plan was to move the hen and her eggs to a safer spot, but after receiving a few cutting pecks from the hen, he wound up just moving the whole burn pile. The egg in the photo is of one he snuck away while the hen wasn’t looking and promptly returned after I took the photo.
Guam is one of those special places in the world where, whether you like it or not, you’ve got a bunch of chickens roaming freely in your yard.
what? no explanation, no story? no name? 🙂
the off islanders won’t know that you have a rare thing there. hope it is ok!
was it abandoned? its mother will never touch it again! hope addison likes regurgitating worms.
HAHAHHA! “hope addison likes regurgitating worms.” oh man that was funny
Sorry about the lack of explanation guys…what, you can’t read minds? the hen’s still sitting on her pile, so it’s looking like addi won’t be regurtigating worms anytime soon. lol
What a poignant photo…
This is sure to win an award in a photo contest, it’s so rare anyone in the world gets such an intimate glimpse of nature this way.
hahahaha… Hey its balut!
You and Addi must be on the same wavelength because that’s exactly what he said when he showed it to me! lol
Great minds think alike… yea right… lol
