(A Working List of) 50 Things I Want To Do Before I Die
I’ve been lucky enough to have experienced some amazing things. But I’m not nearly done. In no particular order, I’d like to…
– walk down Lombard Street
– cross Abbey Road
– become SCUBA certified
– dive the Great Barrier Reef
– produce a documentary
– drive on the German autobahn
– ride in a hot air balloon
– become fluent in another language
– learn the Thriller dance
– do the Thriller dance in front of a Buckingham Palace Guard
– visit the grand canyon
– snow board in Japan
– find something in Taiwan or China with a “Made in the USA” label
– go to a live taping of Saturday Night Live
– visit my old house in Engenthal, Germany and check if my name is still written under the windowsill
– do what Ferris Bueller did at the Sears Tower
– attend a major sports game (world series, world cup, superbowl, etc)
– learn the Argentine tango
– watch a Broadway show
– write a novel or a memoir
– land a Cessna unassisted (I’ve only taken off)
– volunteer considerable time to charity
– get lasik surgery
– go hang gliding
– swim with dolphins in Palau
– learn CPR
– see the northern lights
– set foot on all 7 continents (3 left to go)
– tour the Guinness factory in Ireland
– run with the bulls (or maybe just watch people run with the bulls) in Pamplona
– act in a play (again)
– do a cartwheel on the great wall of China
– tour the Mediterranean on a cruise ship
– count down to a new year in Times Square
– see one of my favorite bands or musicians in concert (can someone please reunite Led Zeppelin?)
– learn to play piano or guitar
– ice skate in Central Park
– climb Mount Fuji
– ride a helicopter over the Kilauea volcano
– get made up like a geisha in Kyoto
– give Annie Leibovitz a high-five
– fold 1,000 origami cranes (994 992 left to go)
– see the Mona Lisa in person at the Louvre
– get a complete makeover
– develop a mobile phone app
– photograph wildlife in Africa
– organize a benefit to raise money for guam public libraries and school arts programs
– eat a croissant at the top of the Eiffel Tower
– learn to change the oil in my car
– produce a music video
– learn to change the oil in my car
I think you can churn this one out pretty quickly! The only thing is that the disposal fee is about as much as an oil change itself, so I’m not sure it’s worth it to do it yourself anymore. But still good to know!
Josie,
For a Gal with your stuff…this list should be a cakewalk, with plenty of time left to chill! 🙂
J,
I can help with at least 4 things on your list…maybe more.
And all near the heart of San Francisco.

Dude, please tell me that youre heading to create more. I notice you havent written another weblog for a while (Im just catching up myself). Your blog is just too important to be missed. Youve received so significantly to say, this kind of knowledge about this subject it would be a shame to see this weblog disappear. The internet needs you, man!
