Radiohead For President
Radiohead’s new record comes out in 10 days.
And it’s only available here.
via Boing Boing:
“They’re only selling it through their website (at least for now), and for the digital download version, they’re letting listeners pick their own price for the album – it’s literally a donation-based product.
Obviously this is sparking confusion among many, but the only help the website provides are the words “It’s up to you.” [Link]
Josie,
I am interested in doing an iPhone promo on your website for Guam. Are you interested?

and they’ll get most of the money you pay (donate) instead of having to fork it over to a label! subversion rules.
I bought the digital download for 7.95 pounds, about $16. I’m sure there are losers who will donate a dollar or less, but it is good to know that they’ll get most of whatever they sell. 🙂
it comforts me to know that people (esp. kids) who wouldn’t otherwise be exposed to this CD because they’re not willing (or can’t afford) to fork over $20 for it will still have access. kudos thom & co.
