So slide over here and give me a moment

One more thing I am thankful for: elastic waistbands.
I know I’m behind the times because I don’t listen to the radio, but I finally heard the new INXS single, Pretty Vegas, when I caught the video on VH1 yesterday. I like it! INXS was one of my favorite bands in the 90s and I mourned the death of Michael Hutchence. I was going to marry Michael Hutchence, you see. Anyway, I think the new lead singer fits nicely and it’s great to have the band back together again.
The fact that the tv show Alias has been canceled and that this will be its final season is reason enough for me to start watching again to see how it all finally comes to an end. I’m sure the series finale (airing in May) will be good.
I watched the excellent funny feel-good film Millions on dvd and was thoroughly impressed with the debut performance by Alexander Natahan Etal. Crash was also very good and so was The Goblet of Fire.
You know, I really hate how the media and gossip columnists gnaw and pick apart celebrity marriages. Making a marriage work is enough of a challenge without other people constantly scrutinizing and talking about how you’re failing at it. Why do people revel or have that “I knew it all along” attitude when a couple breaks up (and I’m not just referring to celebrities)? The pain of a breakup is real and harsh, no matter who you are or how much money you have. Whenever I hear of a divorce, my reaction is one of compassion and sympathy…not to get online and write about how I saw it coming a year ago. And that’s all I have to say about that.

I have to be honest and say that I can’t think of a single couple under the pressure that Nick and Jessica have been for the last year – who could have survived it.
That kind of pressure and the negative energy behind is so separating. And when people say things like – I’m glad or It makes me happy, I have to wonder why. Well said!

agree with person above. i can’t even begin to fathom what the triangle of brad, angie, and jen is like, especially with the way the media is treating it.
