Gourmet Schmourmet

My new favorite thing?
Picking up sandwiches after work for dinner from Stanlee’s and then meeting The Husband to eat them on the beach.
My second new favorite thing?
Well it’s not really a favorite (or new)
…more like a guilty pleasure
…a REAL guilty pleasure
…so guilty I don’t know if I should even be admitting this…
A bowl can of Chef Boyardee Beefaroni with a glass of Yellow Tail Shiraz.
What can I say? I’m a whole different kind of ‘classy’.
Addison won’t touch the stuff. He shakes his head and backs away in disgust when I offer him some. Oh, but he’ll eat an entire can of Dinty Moore beef stew (I’m talking about the big, family-size can!). To each, his own.
Come on. You guys eat bad/weird stuff, too. Admit it.

  4. inna says:

Beefaroni… yummie! For an even stranger twist, I like it with sliced hot dog sausage, sauteed…

Mmm.. hot fries. Tom’s, not Andy Capp’s. With a Pepsi, of course.
Ugh. I think I’m going to throw up.

Funny. I grew up eating Beefaroni with my dad–a man who is otherwise a complete food snob. I still love it.
Meanwhile, my husband refuses to eat any home cooked version of stew, but he love that Dinty More stuff…used to drive his mom insane.

  8. Nadia says:

I right there with you! I love love love Beefaroni too!

I love “hot and spicy” Spam.

Josie, we all have our sinful comfort foods. I still use Popeyes spicy hicken as my comfort food. Something about its crispy greasiness that I find more appealing than KFC. Oh yeah, and the red beans and rice are good too.

Oh, you and E could dine together in glee! He puts it into a pyrex measuring cup, nukes, stirs and eats. I have the Addi reaction to this but E cringes at my love of sour candies in any shade never found in nature.

Spinach with honey drizzled over it 😛

Kids Kitchen Microwave Meals, preferably Ravioli or Spaghetti & Meatballs…cooked for a little over 2 minutes or until the top is nice and slightly overdone for a nice sauce thickness. Yeah, got that meal down pat…LOL!
I only do this at McDonalds, but with any sandwich I have there, I’ve gotta put McDonald’s french fries or hashbrowns right in the middle…it just makes all that grease taste that much better!

I like to order the 2 cheeseburger Value meal from McDonalds, ask for 2 BBQ sauces and 2 honey packs.
Take the french fries and lay them on top of the hamburger patty then procede to cover the fries in BBQ sauce and Honey, put the bun on top and you’ve got a Honey BBQ french fry cheeseburger
