Santa Claus on hiatus!
Glad to see Bill is still holding down the corner at the ITC intersection. Did I ever tell you that a friend of mine was terrified of Bill and would roll up her windows when she saw him?
I guess some people are afraid of the unknown. I met Bill and chatted with him briefly right after Pongsona and he was cool. I’ve never seen him bother anyone.
Dude, I totally remember Bill. I used to work for Exxon gas station in Agana, right alongside the Agana River just pass Bank of Guam headquarters and across the street from GPA…if it’s still there, in graveyard shifts (10pm-6am; Apr. 1995 to Jul. 1996), and he’d come by and always pay a visit around 5:30am, and I’d give him a free cup of coffee, and then he’ll try to bribe me with a newspaper for a can of beer to which I respectfully declined. Good man. When you see him, tell him Art from Vancouver, WA says “Hafa bro”, I hope he remembers me.
