I've already found a few nice and inexpensive places to stay, but I'm still researching as we still have plenty of time to decide all that. I went ahead and booked our flights because I doubt seats will stay open for long with the special rates, especially on a holiday weekend. As you can see, even with the taxes and fuel surcharges it came to just about $250 per ticket. A steal!
Brother and his lovely girl Tasha may even join us--if he can work around an exam at school. Come on Al!!!! What's ONE exam? Tokyo is calling! haha
Each year, The Salvation Army Guam Corps distributes food boxes to hundreds of local families in need at Christmastime. These boxes contain rice, canned meat, vegetables, and other grocery items that help sustain families during the holiday season.
This year Salvation Army Corps is faced with the situation that the grant funds previously used to purchase food for boxes is no longer available for this purpose; therefore they are requesting our assistance to offset the loss of funding. They are seeking to secure contributions that will allow them to continue the program, distributing much- needed food to 800 families this Christmas.
Attached is a list of food needed for the boxes. Please call Simion Kihleng at 477-3528 if you are interested in participating in this project. Food should be delivered to the Family Services Center in Tiyan by December 1st, as food boxes will be distributed starting December 18th.
Salvation Army Corps hope that you consider a special contribution to help them prepare for the Christmas season.
We are operating at 80% of bandwidth capacity and are in danger of exceeding the limit. This is an exciting first for Latitude13; more visitors than I'm paying for!
However, it also means I must upgrade ASAP. The request has been put in and I hope the upgrade will happen before we reach capacity and not cause L13 to be temporarily inaccessible. If it does happen, you'll know why and will just need to sit tight 'til we're up again.
I'm not denying we don't have problems here on the island; I know we do. I also know from my own travels that litter and abandoned vehicles are not unheard of around the planet, including all the other places he danced. For whatever reason, he chose to single us out. I would have gladly found a better spot for him to do his little dance. My backyard is nicer than the one he picked.
Pretty effed up, if you ask me.
Or maybe he just had the worst tour guide, EVER.
