I am not saying my affection can be bought (well not entirely), but there are two people in my life who I like just a little bit more today for saying these sentences to me:

"I know you like Harry Potter, so here's a copy of the new book."

and

"I know you like Interpol, so here's a copy of their new cd."

What a fantastic Monday this is turning out to be. This might be some sort of cosmic reward for spending all of yesterday afternoon on my hands and knees scrubbing my floors.
