...are some women bent on tearing other women down? Buzzing on about what this one is wearing and what that one is doing, and on and on. Tsk, tsk, tsking their way through the day.
If a girl wants to wear a mini-skirt up to there, then I say, go on girl! Wear that mini-skirt!
And if she wants to wear a tube top down to there, then I say, go on and work that tube top, girl!
And if she wants to SHAVE HER HEAD, then I say, hell yeah! Go on and shave your head girl!
What do I care?
I DON'T.
But so many others do.
Those people need to get a hobby.
And a life.
well, those girls want or need attention. so they get it, even if they _say_ they don't want it.
some people just love gossip, can't help that.. some people just don't have anything else to do, like myself... skating at work... replying to you...
yes i saw on E-news britney spears shaved her head.. at least she's wearing underwear now... lmao.. just being funny...

It makes some people feel better to talk poo about other people. Women are not the only ones who do it; guys do it too. (Who's the Alpha Dog versus who isn't, etc.)
This points to our human nature of the "survival of the fittest," "natural selection," ... etc.
Most of all, it points to our own insecurities and a sad way to bond with those among one's inner circles.
To this, I say: "Go fly a kite."
Or to work on one's self and to be one's own critic, not the critic of others. It can be done!
So let me get this straight... you're not concerned that a person who has been lifted up by society as some kind of role model-- someone who people once strove to emulate-- is engaging in self-destructive behavior?
The critique of Britney Spears is not just an issue of gossip mags being "catty," tearing women down. Britney Spears is obviously someone who has carefully constructed an image for herself within the media to gain unparallelled success; now that the machine has backfired and has begun to destroy her life, somehow we're supposed to sit back and say "Yeah, you go girl."
I don't feel sorry for celebrities. Everyone in the public eye should be held accountable for their actions, or get the hell out of the public eye. There are ways to be successful and relevant without turning oneself into a mutant caricature. I really hope that Britney figures out the remainder of her growing pains outside of the public eye.
I wasn't just referring to celebrities. I'm talking about women in general. But since we're talking about Britney, no, I'm not concerned that she is engaging in self-destructive behavior. Why should I be? I don't know the girl personally. All I know is she's in her early 20s. I also know that I didn't have all my shit together when I was in my early 20s so I can sympathize.
