Pastries in Paradise is my mecca, and every year my friends and I make a pilgrimage. Four hours of unlimited dessert and beverage sampling for twenty bucks! You going? Bring some beef jerky for the sugar crash.

On a totally unrelated note, this guy did my nails last night. Surprisingly enough, having my nails done by a man didn't feel weird at all!

that's one thing i do NOT miss about guam...the price of a mani and pedi! it's so outrageous there. here it's $8 and $10 (non-french) respectively.

That's still not as good as a $3 manicure in Bali or the Philippines. :)

Oh well, at least we're not the most expensive in the world. I was told by a Japanese girl who did my nails once that it's like $30 for a manicure in Tokyo. Yikes.
