Every summer (barring a typhoon) a small carnival sets up at Paseo. We checked it out last night and I have to say this year's set up is a lot more interesting and fun than in previous years. We brought home a stuffed panda, a stuffed frog, and two goldfish for the pond. Not too shabby.
The Color Game is a standard at the carnival:

The girl with the microphone is saying (and she'll say it all night long):
"Place your bets, place your bets! All bets down, all bets down. Hands off the counter, please, no more betting! And the ball is rolling rolling rolling to the lucky color of --
(waiting for the ping pong ball to land on a color)
RED!
Pay red, pay red, PAY RED! (deep breath) Place your bets, place your bets..."
Sometimes it's red, sometimes it's yellow. You win double your bet on red or yellow which isn't bad, but what you really want is blue. Seven times your money on the lucky color blue!
I'm not into gambling, but I've just always wanted to take the microphone and do the color game announcing. Just once.
I remember when i was there at the color booth and up by fourty dollars.. i had to get greedy and bet it all on BLUE... Damn that blue... made me lose my money!! oh well, i guess i kind of miss that game... =) But for reals, everyone has the color game words down...
Hahaha... I always called that game pay red. After 27 years, I now know the truth! I heart Guam. Thanks for the pictures and posts Josie.
