Swordgrass sucks

Today we hiked to the Korean Airlines crash memorial site and then on to the Charlie Corn mausoleum. I'll tell you all about it and post pictures later. Right now I am in dire need of a shower and some aloe vera for the dozens of swordgrass cuts I brought home as souvenirs from the trek.

A larger version of today's photo can be viewed here.

I'm beat. Goodnight.

charlie corn? hey, that's a fun one. and if you are really adventurous, you can cut across from there to the old nunnery. but, you'd have to have someone drive all the way to above the ordot dump. easy walk, but pretty area.

glad to see you getting out and seeing the sites! there is a lot to see!

Hey Josie, thanks for cutting yourself up so that we can all enjoy your shots. This one is especially spectacular. If you ask me, parks and rec should construct a lookout point around the area that you took this shot. It is cerainly a place that I would visit.

Yeah, the things I do for the love of photography. :) It was worth all the cuts for the awesome view. But next time we'll remember to bring a machete.

oh, a quick word on the cuts (from one who would get them every saturday hashing). go for a swim, or a soak in the ocean. that's all.

it will feel good, it will then sting, and then it will feel good again. but they would always heal quicker with mother natures help. and, it is a good excuse to play at the beach. :)

Thanks Brent! The stinging doesn't bother me as much as the itchiness does.

Oh, and I thought of you and Inna when we were up near Charlie Corn. :)

gee, that looks familiar..... :)
yep, you found and "on, on". for a while, you were "on trail". could just follow those....but then no knowing how old they are, or which direction trail went....
but next time, if you are feeling really brave.... :)

Aloha, Kim! That's exactly right. :)

The things we put ourselves through. Hahaha But it looks like it was well worth the cuts and mosquito bites. ;) The pictures are awesome!
