All The Honeys Who Makin Money

ME: You’re great. You’re fabulous. You’re smart, you’re independent, you’re classy, you’ve got a fantastic career, and you know what you want. You’re a woman as opposed to a silly girl. You are so choice.
HER: I know! But don’t you think guys are intimidated and turned off by that?
ME: Maybe some guys are, but those guys are lame. Don’t you want a man who has the confidence hold his own against all those qualities, who will embrace who you are and encourage you to thrive? Throw your hands up at me, girl!
(Right?)

  1. I’m with you, Josie! I think the only reason a guy would be intimidated by confidence and success in a woman would be because he lacks confidence and success himself.

  2. i feel you. it’s silly. but i must say, that even the best men, can have moments of silliness. but the great ones, do, i hope, eventually figure that out on their own.

  3. One thing a lot of women fail to remember is that men (just like us) want to be admired, respected and valued. What use is a man to you, if you don’t actually need him in some way? (I’m not talking about phony helplessness, btw.) The solution is to find a man with the qualitites you want and/or need and communicate to him how special he is to you. If we spend all our time thinking how special we are and how lucky he would be to be with us, it never works. Got to get a mutual admiration/respect/value going.

  4. guilty as charged. i’m so new to single-hood and am completely clueless at times. men don’t “talk” to me so i am inclined to ask myself what the hell is wrong with me. then i realize oh yeah! “that’s” what’s wrong, i shouldn’t even have to ask because geez, there ain’t a damn thing wrong. such wisdom, i tell you.

  5. Abso-freakin’-lutely! Took me a long time to find one just like that, and I’m marrying her in a couple of weeks…of course, we are both in what many (not us) consider the “middle ages” and on the other side of raising kids, and still have half a lifetime ahead of us.

  6. Good web site! I truly love how it is easy on my eyes and the data are well written. I am wondering how I could be notified when a new post has been made. I have subscribed to your RSS which must do the trick! Have a great day!
