A list for when the night runs long and the sushi joints are closed.
People talk about the bacon fried rice, onion steak and pepper steak… I love them all. My go-to is the corned beef fried rice.
You can always count on these guys to be open. Denny’s saved me from starvation through every typhoon that came through in my 20s.
- Fuji Ichiban
I wonder how many customers Fuji averages for breakfast. The location across from the Acanta Mall (next to Blue Lagoon Plaza) is the only one open 24 hours. The one across from Guam Reef Hotel is not open 24 hours.
- King’s Restaurant
I’m old enough to remember when country browns were 2.99. I don’t remember the last time I ate at King’s but I do remember hating the fluorescent lighting.
Winchell’s has been hitting heavy on the radio with messages about all the non-donut things you can get there. We have hot dogs and chili! Red rice and fiesta plates! Soups and sandwiches! Hard boiled eggs! — You almost forget they’re a donut shop.
Now that they serve breakfast 24/7, there is no mad dash to get to the drive-thru window before 10:30AM.
- Little Caesar’s
Not great but not terrible, either. On the plus side, you burn some of the calories by doing a couple of laps around Kmart and get some shopping done at the same time.
- Jungle Java (Outrigger Hotel lower lobby)
The only 24-hour with outdoor seating. I bet you see some weird shit in Tumon at 3AM. Wait, what am I saying? I know for a fact you see weird shit in Tumon at 3AM.
- Jack in the Box
Sorry, Jack. I haven’t felt the same about you since McDonald’s started serving breakfast 24/7.
- Honorable Mentions:
IHOP – Open 24 hours Friday and Saturday
The Kracked Egg – Also open 24 hours on weekends (Thanks for the tip, 671foodie)
Let me know if I am missing anything.
1) It has to be open 24 hours and
2) It has to have a seating area.
